Your specialist partner for ECU & module faults

Cloning, component-level repair and data recovery for the electronics you'd otherwise have to send to a main dealer. Post the unit to us from anywhere in the UK — we assess it, sort it, test it and send it back ready to fit.

Lifetime warranty on our work
Postal service only — not a mobile service · you (or your garage) remove the unit and post it to us
We work on the bench, not the vehicle

We don't remove modules from cars ourselves and this isn't a mobile or call-out service. You, or your garage, take the faulty unit out and post it to us — we assess, clone, repair or recover it, then post it back ready to refit.

What we repair

Engine ECUsPetrol and diesel engine control units across cars, vans, trucks, agricultural and plant.
BSI / body controlBody control and comfort modules with communication, corrosion or component faults.
Instrument clustersDead displays, failed backlighting, gauge faults and communication dropouts.
Transmission modulesGearbox and transmission control units that have failed electrically.
Aftertreatment modulesACM / aftertreatment control units and the modules behind DPF, EGR, SCR and AdBlue systems.

What we do with it

We'll normally clone it, not repair it.

Cloning is quicker and cheaper, so it's the first route we look at on almost every unit. Component-level repair is what we turn to when cloning isn't an option — not the default we push you towards.

Cloning: you source the donor unit — and label both

For a clone we need two modules: the faulty one (the patient) and a matching donor unit that you source and send in with it. We copy the data from the patient onto your donor.

Please mark clearly which is which before you post them — a label or a strip of tape on each unit saying "PATIENT" and "DONOR" is enough. Two identical-looking modules in one box with nothing to tell them apart means we have to stop and ask you, which holds the job up.

The donor must match the original exactly on part number, and where possible on build date — manufacturers revise these units in production, and a unit that looks identical from a different revision may not be compatible.

And please don't post the faulty unit on its own expecting a clone — there'll be nothing to clone it onto.

01

ECU & Module Cloning First choice

Data transferred from the faulty unit onto a donor, so the replacement drops in and runs. Immobiliser and security data carried over — existing keys keep working. Quicker and cheaper than a repair, which is why we look here first.

You source and send the donor unit along with the faulty one — please label which is which.

02

Module Repair When cloning won't work

Faults traced to the component on the board and replaced. It costs more and takes longer than cloning, so it's the route for units where no donor is available or the data can't be transferred.

03

Data Recovery

Software and stored data rescued from units corrupted by failed updates, power faults or hardware damage — often what makes a clone possible in the first place.

04

Aftertreatment & Emissions

Aftertreatment control modules (ACM) and the units behind DPF, EGR, SCR and AdBlue systems — common on trucks and commercials as well as cars and vans.

Quoted on the unit and the fault once we've seen it.

Final price depends on the unit and the fault. You get the figure and the plan before any work starts — and if cloning will do the job, that's what we'll quote you for.

How it works

01

Send the details

Part number, vehicle and the symptoms or fault codes you're seeing. We'll tell you whether it's something we can sort.

02

You remove it, then post it

We don't remove modules from vehicles or visit on-site — take the faulty unit out yourself (or have your garage do it) and post it to us, plus the donor unit you've sourced if it's a clone, each one clearly marked "patient" or "donor".

03

We quote, then work

We assess it on the bench and tell you the cheapest route that will actually work — usually a clone. Price confirmed with you before anything starts.

04

Tested and returned

Every unit is tested before it leaves us, and comes back to you ready to fit.

// Why send it to us

Why send it here

[ cheapest route ]

The quickest fix, not the dearest

If a clone will solve it, that's what we'll quote — even though a repair is worth more to us. You get the sensible route, not the profitable one.

[ no dealer coding ]

Fits and runs

Cloning carries the immobiliser and security data across, so the unit drops in and works. No main-dealer coding, no key matching, no comeback.

[ lifetime ]

Lifetime warranty

In the unlikely event there's an issue with work we've carried out, we'll put it right — for as long as you own the vehicle.

[ straight answers ]

An honest assessment

If a unit genuinely can't be saved, we tell you and talk through the alternatives. You won't get a bill for a job that was never going to work.

Send us a module

Give us the part number and what it's doing. We'll tell you whether we can clone it, repair it or recover it — and what it'll cost — before you post anything. Garages and private customers both welcome.
